    SOCCEROOS TO MEET JAPAN IN PRE-ASIAN CUP FRIENDLY

    The Socceroos prepare for the 2015 AFC Asian Cup with a rematch of the 2011 Final when they play against defending Asian Cup Champions Japan in an International friendly in Osaka on the 18th November. 


    The match presents Socceroos head coach Ange Postecoglou and his squad with the ideal opportunity to gauge their progress against one of Asia's powerhouse nations before the Asian Cup unfolds on Australian shores in January 2015.  "I'm delighted we have been able to secure a match against Japan in November to finalise our preperations for the Asian Cup", Postecoglou said.

    WANDERERS WIN IN ASIAN CHAMPIONS LEAGUE IS THE GREATEST BY AN AUSTRALIAN CLUB

    The Western Sydney Wanderers are now set to rub shoulders with the world's elite teams at the next club world championships in Morocco later this year. 

    The Wanderers defied all the odds to keep a clean sheet in the early hours of Sunday morning and win the title on a 1-0 aggregate over Al Hilal, the Saudi Arabian team who reacted to their Asian Champions League final loss in poor fashion. 


    They have rapidly become, along with Melbourn Victory, the powerhouse side in the country as far as a supporter base is concerned. Popovic will want to finish what he has started if at all possible and guide the Wanderers to their inaugural A-League title.
